Buying a prebuilt PC removes the hassle of picking out and assembling a machine on your own, and in a few instances — like the Gamer Master GM61100 — you'll even end up saving money. The Gamer Master GM61100 is one of those deals that is too good to be true, with the machine offering everything you're looking for in a high-end gaming PC at an unmatched value.

This gaming PC features AMD's Ryzen 7 5700 CPU, which has eight cores, 16 threads, a base clock of 3.8GHz, and boosts of up to 4.6GHz.

But the main highlight here is that the machine comes with NVIDIA's GeForce RTX 3060 Ti GPU. I took a look at the card when it came out and found it to be the ideal option in the RTX 30 series if you're looking for value. It delivers outstanding performance and value, and delivers lag-free gaming at 1440p. Basically, you can play any VR game currently available without any issues. And if you need to upgrade to a new video card down the line, you can do so easily.

The CyberPowerPC Gamer Master GM61100 also wins out in other areas. You get a 1TB solid-state drive (SSD) as standard, Wi-Fi ac connectivity, Gigabit Ethernet ports, 16GB of RAM, eight USB ports, and Windows 11 is installed out of the box. The design isn't too bad either; the machine uses an NZXT case and there are plenty of RGB fans included in the package.

Reasons to avoid

-
No USB-C ports at the front
-
Design may not be to everyone's tastes

Lenovo's Legion gaming sub-brand has rolled out a lot of exciting products over the last two years, and the Legion Tower 5i continues to be a great showing. The Gen 7 model is powered by Intel's stellar Core i7-12700, and in my review, I called it to be the ideal choice in Intel's 12th Gen portfolio for gaming on a value.

You also get NVIDIA's GeForce RTX 3060 with 12GB of video memory, making it the ideal choice for demanding VR titles. You get 16GB of RAM and a 1TB M.2 SSD out of the box, and the Legion Tower 5i definitely isn't lacking on the hardware front.

Elsewhere, you'll find Wi-Fi 6 2x2 connectivity, Gigabit Ethernet, and eight USB ports. There's nothing really missing here, and if I had to find flaws, there are no front-facing USB-C ports. The design is more muted than some of the other options in this category, and that could be a positive if you're not keen on overt RGB lighting. And another benefit how you can easily upgrade the internal hardware down the line. For what you're paying, you are getting a solid gaming PC.

Boutique vendor iBUYPOWER has been making gaming PCs for over two decades, and it clearly knows what it's doing in this segment. The Gaming RDY series of machines deliver VR-ready hardware in exciting cases decked out with RGB lighting.

The Gaming RDY SLHBG220 is an interesting choice as it comes with Intel's latest Core i5-13600KF paired with NVIDIA's GeForce RTX 3060 Ti, and it ticks all the right boxes in this area.

It has a standard Z690 motherboard, you get 16GB of RAM and an M.2 SSD with 1TB of storage, Wi-Fi 6 connectivity, and a bundled keyboard and mouse. In short, you're getting all the hardware you need to play the latest VR titles.

The standard for gaming

Reasons to buy

+

+
Features Intel's Core i7-12700F
+
Gorgeous design with liquid cooling
+
16GB of RAM as standard
+
15 USB ports in total

Reasons to avoid

-
You're paying a premium for the brand
-
Only 512GB SSD

Few gaming machines look as good as the Alienware Aurora R13, with Dell doing a fabulous job with the overall design here. The R13 has a stunning aesthetic that's unlike its rivals in this category, and it manages to look cool without being ostentatious.

You're not missing out on the hardware front either, with the R13 featuring Intel's 12th Gen Core i7-12700F along with the GeForce RTX 3070 Ti, 16GB of RAM, 1TB M.2 SSD, and more USB ports than any other machine I've seen. There's liquid cooling here combined with excellent airflow, all designed to ensure the R13 maintains thermals well.

As for VR gaming, the RTX 307 Ti handles anything you throw at it without breaking a sweat. You are paying a premium for the Alienware brand here, but that doesn't make the hardware any less interesting.

Reliability you can count on

Sleek design
+
Powered by Intel Core i7-12700K

16GB of RAM as standard
+
Eight USB ports in total

Reasons to avoid

Just 512GB SSD installed

If you're looking for a VR-ready machine with a sleek design and powerful hardware, you'll love what the HP Omen 45L has to offer. The 45L combines liquid cooling with decent RGB lighting and stellar internal hardware in the form of Intel's Core i7-12700K and the GeForce RTX 3060.

This is a mature design that has a lot of fans, and the hardware on offer is more than adequate for any VR game you might throw at it — this is a powerhouse of a gaming machine. You also get 16GB of RAM and a Wi-Fi ac 2x2 module, but the one downside is that the 45L is limited to a 512GB SSD. With most other models in this category offering a 1TB SSD as standard these days, it feels like HP has shortchanged buyers in this area.

What VR-ready machine are you buying?

You're not only saving a lot of hassle by going the prebuilt route if you want the best prebuilt PC for Oculus Quest 2, but also gaining a few key advantages. With the RTX 30 series in particular still the default choice considering the exorbitant retail tag of the GeForce RTX 4090 and 4080, your best choice is to go with a gaming machine that has the RTX 3060, 3070 Ti, or the 3050.

If you want a value-focused choice that lets you play the latest VR games available on Windows, Lenovo's Legion Tower 5i is a great alternative. And if you want the best hardware that you can get your hands on right now, look no further than Alienware's beastly Aurora R13.

All of these prebuilt machines let you unlock PC VR gaming on your Quest 2 with the Oculus Link cable. Of course, you don't actually have to buy the Oculus Link cable to connect your Quest 2 to a gaming PC, as most USB-C to USB-A cable cables will work just fine. We highlighted the best Link cable alternatives for the Oculus Quest 2, so if you're looking to save some cash, be sure to give that a read.
