It may no longer be Google's latest and greatest, but the Pixel 6 continues to be a fantastic smartphone that offers everything from great battery life to a top-of-the-line camera experience. Whether you've had it since launch or are planning to get one soon, it'll continue to serve you well for years to come. That said, it's still a fragile device that needs to be protected against the elements if you want it to last a long time, and this is where these best Google Pixel 6 cases come into play. Whether you want something with a textured pattern (e.g., Caseology Parallax), or a translucent body (e.g., Ghostek Covert) that'll help you show off the smartphone's funky design, there's no dearth of options when it comes to a device as popular as this one. Here are some of our favorite cases that'll give your Pixel 6 the protection it deserves!

+
Fantastic blend of textures and colors
+
Affordably priced
+
Raised edges for drop protection
+
Three colorways
+
Slim and grippy

Reasons to avoid

No mauve or pink shade for Pixel 6

Caseology is a tried-and-tested name that has long been among our favorite brands of smartphone cases, and its strikingly beautiful Parallax series Pixel 6 case goes on to show why. The textured pattern across the back is wonderfully plush and almost leather-feeling, and the case also features raised ridges for protection around that bold camera bar of the Pixel 6 to keep it safe and stable when it's flat on a table. On top of that, you still get edges that jut out to bolster drop protection for your phone.

While not many Pixel cases highlight that pop of red at the top of the Kinda Coral Pixel 6, Caseology gets the job done. So, whether you're tracking rebel scum across the galaxy or lording over your domain, the Parallax will help you keep an iron grip upon your Pixel 6, thanks to the new diamond grip pads along its bumper. Sadly though, there's no pink color variation for the Pixel 6 series.

CASETiFY's Google Pixel cases are made of eco-friendly materials and are available in a plethora of designs, so there's no shortage of choice at all. Some of the decorative patterns on the back include floral designs, animals, swirling color blends, and a lot more. Plus, you can customize the color of the frame to further personalize each Pixel 6 cover. You can even pick your way through clear cases and semi-transparent options.

Having tested CASETiFY's Pixel 6 cases, Android Central contributing writer Namerah Saud Fatmi fell in love with them. The cases are made with up to 65% recycled materials, so they are also good for planet. They fully support wireless charging functionality and also offer 360-degree protection against bumps and hard falls.

Spigen Liquid Air Armor for Google Pixel 6

Simple and grippy

Reasons to buy

+
Slip-proof fabric back
+
Thin and snug fit
+
Lightweight
+
Air Cushion Technology

Reasons to avoid

-
Only one shade available

While Spigen is better known for the Rugged Armor and Tough Armor series, its best option for the Pixel 6 has to be the Liquid Air Armor. The case's textured back offers more grip than the Rugged and Thin Fit series options but still manages to be overall quite slim. Spigen employs its own 'Air Cushion Technology' for increased protection against even the worst of falls and impacts.

The Liquid Air Armor for Google Pixel 6 works with stick-on grips or card slots, so you have some versatility when it comes to add-ons. It is pretty snug, but still easy to get on and off if you want to hide some cash or an ID card inside. It's true you won't find bright colorways to go with the fun and perky Pixel 6 color models, but this thing can defend your phone far better than most slim cases.

i-Blason Cosmo Series for Pixel 6

i-Blason Cosmo Series for Pixel 6

Stylish yet secure

Reasons to buy

+
Top-notch shock resistance from all sides
+
See-through model available
+
Unique color schemes
+
Built-in screen protector

Reasons to avoid

-
Green and Blue versions cost more
-
Screen guard interferes with fingerprint sensor

The best rugged cases usually only come in two flavors: boring and macho. However, i-Blason bucks that trend with its Cosmo Series case for the Google Pixel 6. This two-piece case includes a built-in screen protector in the front frame for solid all-round protection.

As you'd expect from a high-grade bumper case, the i-Blason Cosmo does a great job of deflecting scratches and cracks. Sadly, due to the already problematic fingerprint scanner on the Pixel 6, the built-in screen protector renders the fingerprint sensor almost useless.

The back of the case is covered with a beautiful pink/white, blue/green marble-like patterns, or an intriguing green butterfly design with gold accents. The bump around the camera is there, but the patterns help it blend in better. Our favorite is the green variant, but it and the blue version both cost a little more than the pink/white option.

Ghostek Covert for Google Pixel 6

Ghostek Covert for Google Pixel 6

Tough and translucent

Reasons to buy

+
Translucency looks appealing
+
Can survive drops from eight feet high
+
Textured sides to prevent slipping
+
Reinforced corners

Reasons to avoid

-
Chunky structure
-
Not much color variety

Ghostek's Covert clear cover is the ultimate antithesis of the first-party transparent Google Pixel 6 case: It's rugged, re-enforced in the corners, and heavily protects both the screen and the camera module. The corners are lined with impact-absorbing gel and the sides are scored for that additional grip.

The red Ghostek Covert colorway matches well with the Kinda Coral colorway of the Pixel 6. The Sorta Pink also amplifies the Coral's feminine hues, but Cloudy Clear is our clear favorite. Your Pixel 6 will be able to show its colors (and style!) while staying protected from eight-feet high drops in this case.

Poetic Revolution for Google Pixel 6

Poetic Revolution for Google Pixel 6

Kickstands kick butt

Reasons to buy

+
Comes with a kickstand
+
Screen protector built-in
+
Heavy-duty coverage
+
Five interesting color options

Reasons to avoid

-
Meddles with fingerprint scanner
-
Super heavy

Poetic's Revolution is already a heavy-duty Pixel 6 case with heavy-duty thickness, but it makes excellent use of that added bulk by including an integrated kickstand that works in both portrait and landscape orientations. The front frame of the case includes a built-in screen protector for added security, and should you scratch that screen protector somehow, there's even a spare front frame included the box.

However, Poetic's generosity goes to waste in this case (pun intended!) because the finicky Pixel 6 fingerprint sensor is bad enough as it is. With another layer on top, it interferes a whole lot more with biometric scanning. To add to that, the Revolution for is not only built like a tank but weighs as much too.

Pela case

Pela Google Pixel 6 Case

Good feel, good for the planet

Reasons to buy

+
Made from eco-friendly materials
+
Fully compostable composition
+
Dozens of colors and patterns
+
Lovely, smooth feel with grip
+
Optional wallet options available

Reasons to avoid

-
Expensive
-
Not reinforced against shocks

Most cases are made from plastics that can't be easily recycled, leading to tons and tons of old cases in landfills. Pela cases, on the other hand, use Flaxstic, a material of compostable bioplastic and flax straw. These eco-friendly Pixel 6 covers are smooth, grippy, and quite durable as we discovered during our hands-on testing.

Pela's Pixel 6 covers are available in over a dozen styles and colorways. You can even get variants with a card slot on the back without sacrificing wireless charging or the Pixel's back tap gestures. These environmentally friendly accessories have a smooth and supple feel to them and feel fantastic to hold. Pela's Pixel 6 cases might be a bit expensive, but the fact that they are sustainable and made responsibly more than makes up for it.

Gives you everything

Reasons to buy

+
Clean, modern design
+
Premium build quality
+
Hidden wallet with three slots
+
Magnetic kickstand
+
Endures drops from four foot heights

Reasons to avoid

-
Quite costly
-
Bulky cover

Vena's vCommute wallet case for Pixel 6 does not leave any feature out. You get sturdy military-grade protection, and a luxurious mix of leather and high-grade TPU. Should you drop your precious Pixel 6, the vCommute is designed to protect it from up to four feet-high drops.

The Vena vCommute case for the Pixel 6 has a wonderfully clever kickstand on the back. It resembles a leather folio cover and has three hidden slots to store cards or cash underneath. The stand is secured in place magnetically, fixing your Pixel 6 in position. It even comes with metal plates built into the flap that allow compatibility with magnetic car mounts.

Bellroy Leather Case for Pixel 6

Bellroy Leather Case for Pixel 6

Be still, my blue heart

Reasons to buy

+
Seriously skinny
+
Genuine leather make
+
Diverse colors available

Reasons to avoid

-
Not very rugged
-
Hefty price tag

Bellroy uses the highest-quality leather—claimed to be sourced responsibly—for all its phone cases. Designed in partnership with Google, all of their cases are tanned in eco-friendly ways. We did not get an official fabric Pixel 6 cover, but at least Bellroy offers a round of beautiful leather cases in some breathtaking colors.

While the classic Terracotta is well-tinted, the SeaMist is wonderfully matched to the Sorta Seafoam, and then there's a stunning Cobalt reminiscent of the original Pixel that's eye-catching in particular. There's also a Basalt variant and a standard black option available. However, it's worth mentioning that even though Bellroy's Leather case for the Google Pixel 6 looks and feels superb, it doesn't help much in terms of shock absorption or resistance.

The best Google Pixel 6 cases focus on the camera

Still among the best Android phones out there, Google Pixel 6 features a camera bar that makes it quite unique when it comes to the overall design. Interestingly, that camera bar also makes it easier to help tell durable from thin cases and separate the good from the bad.

For instance, Caseology's Parallax has a thicker bumper around the camera module and a raised lip around the cameras themselves. It completely covers the sides and the sharp top/bottom edges so that the camera module won't catch on an edge and break during a fall.

By contrast, Google's official, transparent Google Pixel 6 Case also has a lip on the top and bottom edges, but Google leaves the sides of the camera bar exposed, and the frosted texture is way too slippery, leaving the phone more susceptible to drops, scrapes, and other damage.

Google's case is truer to the brand's style, but Caseology offers much more in terms of protection, as we have found in our hands-on experience. Other Pixel 6 phone covers split the difference with a raised lip around the entire edge, but no sloped curves, as seen on the thin and well-textured Spigen Liquid Air Armor. We found it comfy to hold when testing it.

And, of course, all the best heavy-duty Pixel 6 cases are thicker on the back, so the camera bump doesn't seem any thicker than other phones. It's all a matter of which style and level of protection suits your taste. Between that blue-green Cosmo Series, myriad-colored Soft Slim, and the tall, dark, and handsome Parallax, there are plenty of ways to jazz up your Pixel 6.

Oh, and if you're wondering where Google's first-party case is, well, the texture experience doesn't quite match up with its high price tag, so it's not making the list this year. However, you can get better clear cases—matte or transparent—for half the price, so the only compelling reason left to buy it would be if you want that soft glowing pink.

If you're after that, we recommend checking out two brands. CASETiFY offers hundreds of durable clear and semi-clear cases with decals, designs, and cool illustrations. Then there's a company called Ghostek; pink is one of their steadfast colors. Both brands have been tried and tested by the team at Android Central and live up to their names.

Done picking a swanky new case for your Google Pixel 6? We also suggest getting one of the best Pixel 6 screen protectors to give your smartphone solid all-round protection.
