Best answer: If you want to buy the Pixel 4, you have plenty of options to choose from. You can get the phone directly through Amazon or via the official Google Store.

Amazon is the best to get the Pixel 4 right now

This is the first year that Amazon is selling the Pixel on day one. Now that Google and Amazon have patched up their differences, expect this to be the rule and not the exception.

Like all other retailers, Amazon has the Pixel 4 and 4 XL in all three colors and both storage sizes, along with a $100 gift card that can be spent at Amazon directly.

Oh So Orange is still available, but it's currently backordered and won't ship for two to three months.

If you have a Prime membership — or even if you don't — Amazon is by far the best place to get the Pixel 4. It comes with a $100 gift card to Amazon, which is always nice, and ships incredibly fast.

Believe it or not, the Google Store is selling the Pixel 4 🤯

What we're about to say next might shock you, so hold onto your butts. The Google Store, Google's online storefront, is selling the Google Pixel 4. Say what!

All joking aside, the Google Store is a great place to pick up a Pixel 4. After choosing whether you want the regular Pixel 4 or 4 XL, you have the option of selecting what carrier version you want — including Verizon, Google Fi, or an unlocked model that'll work on whatever your carrier of choice is.

After picking your preferred color and storage configuration, you can then indicate if you have a phone to trade-in for a decreased price on the Pixel 4, along with having the option to purchase Google's Preferred Care insurance for the phone.

When it comes time to hand over your credit card info, the Google Store gives you the option of buying the phone outright at its full retail price or putting it on a monthly installment plan. Google Store Financing breaks the purchase out over 24 months with 0% APR, with your monthly rates being as follows:

  • Pixel 4 w/ 64GB storage — $33.29/month
  • Pixel 4 w/ 128GB storage — $37.46/month
  • Pixel 4 XL w/ 64GB storage — $37.46/month
  • Pixel 4 XL w/ 128GB storage — $41.62/month

If you pre-order the Pixel 4 before official sales begin on October 24, you'll earn a free $100 credit for the Google Store that can be used to spend on "accessories."

If you pre-order the Pixel 4 at the Google Store, you'll earn a $100 credit that can be put towards buying accessories for the phone. You also have the option of using Google Store Financing to spread the Pixel 4's price over 24 months with 0% interest.

You can also get the phone from your preferred carrier

Alternatively, you can pick up the Pixel 4 from your carrier. The Pixel 4 is being sold on more carriers at launch than any past Pixel, including AT&T, Google Fi, Spectrum Mobile, Sprint, T-Mobile, Verizon, Visible, and Xfinity Mobile.

Buying through a carrier is ideal as there are often various promotions and financing options available, helping to reduce the upfront cost of Google's new phones.

AT&T

Starting first with AT&T, the big draw here is that existing customers can snag $300 in bill credits when trading in their old phone for either the Pixel 4 or 4 XL.

If you're a new customer, however, the deal is even sweeter. Switch to AT&T, trade in your current phone, and you'll get up to $700 off.

Pre-orders are open now, with the Pixel 4 starting at $28/month on an installment plan and the Pixel 4 XL going for $32/month. For both phones, the monthly payments are spread out over 30 months.

Not only does AT&T have low monthly payments for the Pixel 4, but there are also big potential savings. Existing customers get score up $300 in bill credits, whereas new customers that switch from another carrier can save up to $700.

Google Fi

Being that the Pixel 4 is made by Google, it shouldn't come as any surprise that you can buy the phone through Google Fi.

Google Fi has a really straightforward promotion, giving customers $100 in Fi service credits when pre-ordering the Pixel 4 between now and October 24. You can buy the phones outright, or get them on monthly payments for 24 months. That brings the Pixel 4 to around $33/month and the Pixel 4 XL comes in at $37/month.

For those of you that are on Google Fi, the pre-order promotion is as simple as can be. Just pre-order the Pixel 4 or 4 XL before October 24, and you'll get $100 in credits that you can put towards your monthly service bill.

Verizon

The Pixel series used to be a Verizon-exclusive, so it's no surprise the Pixel 4 lineup is being sold by the carrier. In regards to promotions, Verizon has a nice BOGO deal on tap.

If you buy the Pixel 4 on a monthly installment plan, you can get a 64GB Pixel 4 for free or $800 off a more expensive version of the phone. You will need to add one of the phones to a new line of service on your account with an Unlimited plan, but once you do, a monthly credit will kick in to make your second Pixel 4 free.

For those of you that just want one phone, Verizon has something for you, too. Buy any Pixel 4 on a monthly installment with an accompanying Unlimited plan, trade in an eligible phone within 30 days, and you'll get $450 credited to your account. That $450 credit is paid out over the course of 24 months, but it's a big savings nonetheless.

On top of all that, Verizon's also offering a $200 prepaid Mastercard gift card. You'll need to switch to Verizon from another carrier and get an Unlimited plan, but the kicker here is that you can stack this on top of one of the above promos to really boost your savings.

You'll find big Pixel 4 savings at Verizon. You can buy one Pixel 4 and get another one for free, earn a $450 credit off one phone after trading in an eligible phone, and score a $200 gift card when switching from another carrier.

Spectrum Mobile

Spectrum Mobile customers can also purchase the Pixel 4 through the carrier, and if you have an old phone to trade in, Spectrum is offering a solid promotion.

Whether you buy the Pixel 4 or 4 XL, trading in your existing handset will get you $200 on top of whatever the value is for your phone. That's about as simple as promotions like this get, so if you're all about keeping things simple, Spectrum could be quite appealing.

Spectrum is also offering the Oh So Orange Pixel 4 along with Just Black and Clearly White, meaning you aren't blocked out from the Pixel 4's best color just because of your carrier choice.

Pixel 4 at Spectrum Mobile

Have an old phone to trade in? Spectrum Mobile has an offer that's hard to refuse. On top of the credit Spectrum would normally offer for your phone, you'll also get an additional $200 credit on top of that — meaning you could save quite a bit on your Pixel 4 purchase.

Sprint

Moving over to Sprint, you'll find a pretty solid BOGO deal that's hard to ignore.

For a "limited time", you can lease either the Pixel 4 or 4 XL and get a second one for $0/month — AKA free! You do need to switch to Sprint from another carrier or add a new line of service in order to be eligible for this promotion, but even so, the savings are huge.

Sprint also allows you to mix and match how this promotion works, meaning you can lease a Pixel 4 and get a free Pixel 4, lease a Pixel 4 XL and get another Pixel 4 XL, or lease a Pixel 4 XL and get a free Pixel 4.

Sprint is not offering the Oh So Orange color of the Pixel 4, so keep that in mind before making your purchase.

Pixel 4 at Sprint

You can save big on the Pixel 4 at Sprint, with the carrier allowing new and existing subscribers to lease one Pixel 4 or 4 XL and get another one for free. The savings potential here is huge, so long as you're OK missing out on the Oh So Orange color.

T-Mobile

At T-Mobile, the Un-Carrier is letting people get a Pixel 4 completely free, but there are a few caveats to keep in mind.

Assuming you're a new customer and switching to T-Mobile from another carrier, you trade in an older Pixel phone, and you buy a Pixel 4 on a monthly installment plan, you'll get a monthly credit of $33.34 — effectively making the Pixel 4 free. If you'd rather have the Pixel 4 XL, this promotion will take $800 off its total price.

Alternatively, T-Mobile is also offering a $300 credit off the Pixel 4 or 4 XL when you trade in an eligible device.

In regards to the monthly cost of the two phones, T-Mobile spreads its monthly payments over 24 months. As such, the Pixel 4 starts at $33.34/month with $0 down with the Pixel 4 XL coming in at $33.34/month after you pay $100 down. Unfortunately, T-Mobile is not selling the Oh So Orange color.

T-Mobile has a sweet deal for new customers. Switch from your current carrier, trade in an old Pixel phone, and you can get the Pixel 4 completely free. Along with that, existing subscribers have the option of trading in an eligible device to take $300 off the Pixel 4 or 4 XL.

Xfinity Mobile

Pre-orders for the Pixel 4 are open at Xfinity Mobile right now, and similar to other carriers, you can either buy the phone outright or pay month-to-month. Xfinity Mobile spreads the cost of the Pixel 4 across 24 months with 0% interest, bringing the Pixel 4 to $33.29/month and the Pixel 4 XL to $37.45.

Xfinity isn't running any special promotions for the Pixel 4 or 4 XL, but you can trade in your existing phone and get a credit towards your purchase (something that's always offered).

It is worth noting that Xfinity does sell the Pixel 4 in Oh So Orange, something you won't find at every carrier.

Although Xfinity Mobile isn't offering any special promotions for the Pixel 4, it's still worth considering the carrier before you buy the phone. You can trade in your old handset for a credit towards your purchase, and Xfinity is one of the select carriers offering the Pixel 4 in Oh So Orange.

Don't forget to check out B&H

Last but certainly not least, it's worth visiting B&H if you prefer buying your phones unlocked.

At B&H, shipping is fast and free and you can also benefit from the company's B&H Payboo Credit Card. If you pay for the Pixel 4 with the card, B&H will instantly pay you back the sales tax you paid. Depending on which state you live in, that could result in big savings.

To make the deal even sweeter, all Pixel 4 pre-orders come with a free $100 B&H e-gift card and three months of service on Mint Mobile.

Get a free $100 gift card when you buy the Pixel 4 from B&H, along with three months of free wireless service via Mint Mobile. Plus, if you use the company's Payboo card, you get back any sales tax you have to pay.
