Black Friday deals have already taken off and several retailers are offering some great discounts on a year of PlayStation Plus. No matter which PlayStation console you have, whether you're still rocking a PS4 or are one of the lucky ones who've been able to upgrade to a PS5, you're PlayStation Plus membership will follow you. One of the best deals on PS Plus right now is a 12-month membership for nearly 50% off at CDKeys. GameStop and Amazon also have it on sale for $45.

I wouldn't say that a PS4 or PS5 is unusable without PS Plus, because that certainly isn't true, but the experience you get is definitely inferior to those with a PS Plus subscription. This premium membership unlocks online multiplayer and grants access to instant game collection, offering two free games every month. Not only that, but you also get 100GB of cloud storage, and that's nothing to sneeze at if you're looking to wirelessly transfer your games and save data.

A new perk for PS Plus members on PS5 now is the PlayStation Plus Collection, a catalogue of classic PS4 games that members get access to at no extra charge, Some of these games include God of War, The Last of Us Remastered, Resident Evil 7, and more. Sony will surely add more games as time goes on.

While you could opt for a 3-month or 1-month membership, in the long run they usually aren't worth it if you plan to continue your subscription. Three months will normally set you back $25 and a month costs $10. When you do the math, it's clear that the 12-month membership is the best deal, even when it's not on sale.

And if you're interested in it, PlayStation Now is $45 at Amazon right now as well.
